About Me

I’ve been a professional writer for more than 20 years. I began my career as assistant editor of a weekly newspaper in Boston. That led to a job as managing editor of a trade magazine. I moved to South Florida in 2001 and worked in the higher education industry in a variety of roles including director of communications at Florida Atlantic University College of Nursing, writer for the Office of the Provost at Florida International University, and university copywriter at Nova Southeastern University. In 2010, I decided to pursue a freelance writing career that combines my experience and skills in journalism and copywriting. I hold a B.A. from Brandeis University and an M.S. in Journalism from Boston University School of Public Communication.
